Almost a year.
This morning, as I sipped my coffee, it hit me—it’s been nearly a year since I gave birth to our son last May. A year of chaos, love, exhaustion, and growth. And as if the universe wanted to shake me awake, I immediately spilled my coffee all over my bedside table in the RV.
What the fuck.
Deep breath. Just breathe.
As I wiped away the mess, carefully cleaning each of my little trinkets, I felt a shift. The RV, which can quickly turn from cozy to cluttered with three kids running around, needed some tidying. And maybe, so did I. My energy felt off, like I’d been moving too fast, pushing too hard.
The night before, under the Waxing Crescent moon, I had felt a rare sense of calm. But sometimes, it takes something less serene—a coffee spill, a moment of frustration—to force us to slow down and listen.
Focus.
What do I need to hear?
I have a couple of markets coming up—exciting but nerve-wracking. I also tried to start a new job that aligned with my certification, but it didn’t work out. I loved my coworkers, just not the job itself. So now I’m back where I started—trying to campaign for my small business with no extra funds and three chaotic, wonderful kiddos. Thankfully, my husband is currently out of work, and we’ve managed to pay some bills forward, giving me this rare window to put myself out there again. Hence, the markets.
My business started with art and handmade crafts. It felt good to tap into my creativity again, to take that leap of faith on myself. And when I do get out to the markets, it pays off. But those opportunities are few and far between.
Then, something unexpected happened. I found my love for fitness again.
After giving birth to my son, I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to regain my strength. But with patience, attention to my nutrition, and a gentle return to movement, I did it. I lost 25 pounds—not just in weight, but in self-doubt. That journey inspired me to go further, so I enrolled in an online program and became a certified Nutrition and Personal Trainer coach.
Now, my business is evolving. My art, crafts, and herbal creations are still my heart, but I’m expanding—creating a holistic gift shop while also guiding others on their wellness journeys.
This is just the beginning. And even though I’m still figuring things out, I know one thing for sure—I’m ready to change lives, starting with my own.
As I step into market season, I know there will be moments of doubt, exhaustion, and uncertainty. But I also know that each market is an opportunity—a chance to connect, to grow, and to share my passion. If you’ve been in a season of change or chasing a dream of your own, I’d love to hear from you. What words of encouragement or wisdom have helped you push forward? Share them with me—I could use a little extra magic as I step into this next chapter.
