Breaking Controlling Ties 
(also known as cord cutting)

I feel your pressure
yes, it’s tight,
But watch me rise
by my own light.

You wish me tethered,
bound in fear,
A silent shadow
kept too near.

But cords you cast
now fall away,
I cut them clean
this very day.

No claim, no grip,
no hidden thread.
I call my power
back instead.

Your hold dissolves,
your weight unties,
I stand unbound,
I claim my skies.

What’s mine returns,
what’s yours releases.
Control breaks off
in quiet pieces.

By will, by word,
by breath set free.
No chain remains
attached to me.

Say the line “I call my power back instead” three times.
Blow out a black candle to symbolize the end of control.

Wash your hands afterward to seal the release.
This one isn’t angry. It’s sovereign.
And sovereign energy is much harder to fight.
