Weight Loss Looks Different On Everyone.

There are so many different ways we wear our weight loss journeys, and lately, I’ve been reflecting a lot on mine.

I’ve always loved working out—but my relationship with fitness hasn’t always been smooth. Six months ago, I jumped back into wellness after recovering from minor injuries and giving birth to our third child. I had no idea what that comeback would look like, but I did know one thing: I was willing to do whatever it took to feel strong again.

After years of being pregnant, experiencing a devastating loss, navigating financial stress, losing our home, and being bedridden due to injury, I was desperate—not to look a certain way, but to regain my strength. My body felt like the one thing I could control in the chaos, so I just had to get up… and move.

Six Months Later…

I’m proud to say that six months in, I’m 30 pounds down and feeling stronger than I have in years. I’ve hit every goal I set for myself, and along the way, I earned my NASM certification as a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. I even registered Faeborn Fitness as a business so I can help others who’ve walked a path like mine.

In the beginning, I promised myself I would document every part of this journey—photos, journal entries, raw thoughts—so I could look back and remember exactly how I felt during each chapter.

The Biggest Lesson: Your Journey Won’t Look Like Anyone Else’s

On my walk this morning, I had this realization: weight loss looks different on everyone.

We all have different bodies, different workout routines, different ways of eating—and because of that, our results will never look the same. And that’s a good thing.

Your body is unique. Your metabolism, your lifestyle, your background—it all plays a role. And my job? It’s not to change you into someone else’s version of “fit.” It’s to enhance your uniqueness, to support your goals, and to help you reconnect with your strength on your terms.

Why Weight Loss Might Look Different on You Than on Friends or Family

Here are a few key reasons why weight loss can show up differently from person to person:

  • Genetics: Some people naturally carry more muscle or lose fat faster than others.
  • Hormones: Pregnancy, stress, menopause, and other life events affect hormones—and hormones affect weight.
  • Lifestyle Factors: Sleep, work schedule, support system, and mental health all play major roles.
  • Food Sensitivities & Diet: What fuels one person might cause inflammation in another.
  • Workout Style: High-intensity, low-impact, strength training, cardio—all trigger different responses in the body.

So please don’t compare your progress to someone else’s. You’re not behind. You’re just on your own road.

This Is Just the Beginning

My journey is still unfolding, and so is yours. Whether you’re just starting out, trying to bounce back, or redefining your goals altogether—know that you’re not alone. I see you. I am you.

Keep going. Keep moving. Keep honoring your body and your story.

And if you’re ready for support, guidance, and someone who truly gets it—I’m here. Let’s grow strong together. 💪
